Introduction to Procurement

Procurement is the part of Inventory that deals with stock control. The topics in this section of the help file will discuss the functions involved in maintaining stock levels in your venue. We will outline the following functions:

• Supplier Contracts

• Requisitions

• Purchase Orders

• Stock Receipts

• Stock Returns

• Stock Adjustments

• Stock Takes

• Stock Transfers (Inter-Branch Transfers)

In addition to these topics, we will look at how you can use a PDT or PDA hand-held device to perform these stock control functions in the PDT Procurement Menu tutorial. The tutorials in this section of the help system focus on the Procurement Menu which can be navigated to by selecting Menus, Inventory and Procurement from the Navigation Menu.
