The Portal provides a series of reports to view details of the amount of GST payable according to the sales data in the Portal. In this tutorial we will explore the available reports.

The first report that we will discuss in this tutorial will be the GST Sites Sales report. This can be opened by selecting the Sales link in the GST Reports section of the Sales Menu. This report lists the GST payable by each Site in the selected State during the specified period. Use the Display As drop-down list to view the details in a table or line, pie or bar chart. The Filters tab allows you to set the Type of data in the report - sales, sales percentage or dollars per customer. Click on a Site Name to open the GST Department Sales report for the Site.

Select the Department Sales link in the GST Reports section of the Sales Menu to open the GST Department Sales report. This report outlines the GST payable by Department. Filtering by State and Site are possible for this report and the period can be selected by entering a Date and selecting the period type from the By drop-down list. The Filters tab contains a single drop-down list that allows you to select the Type of data displayed in the report - sales, sales percentages or dollars per customer. A Department Name can be selected to open the GST Item Sales report for the selected Department.

The Item Sales link in the GST Reports section of the Sales Menu opens the GST Item Sales report which details the GST payable by the item for the selected State and/or Site during the specified period. The Display As drop-down list allows the user to view the data in a table or as a line, pie or bar chart. The Filters tab allows you to select the Type of data displayed in the report - sales, sales percentage or dollars per customer. Use the Range tab to filter the report by Department and to set the number of items to Display in the report - Top 10 performers for example.

Any item in this report can be selected in order to open a popup menu with the following links:

The final link in the GST Reports section of the Sales Menu opens the GST Balance report. This report provides GST totals for the selected Site during the specified period for either the GST or the Value of Sales (according to the Report selection). A distinction is made between payments and refunds and totals are displayed for GST transactions and non-GST transactions.

In this tutorial we have discussed the GST Reports section of the Sales Menu. These reports are useful in identifying the amount of GST payable by Site, Department or individual item.
